A pneumatic tirecomprises an annular bead coreembedded in each bead portionof the tire. The bead coreis composed of a plurality of wire ringseach of which is made of a spirally overlap-wound bead wireand which are arranged in the tire axial direction. The wire ringsinclude a first ringwhose bead wireis a twisted cordmade of a plurality of filamentstwisted together, and a second ringwhose bead wireis a monofilament cordmade of a single filament.
