A modular ceiling kit comprising a luminaire arrangement and a mounting frame () is disclosed. The luminaire arrangement has a luminaire () with a first light exit window () framed by a rim (). The mounting frame () has an aperture () for receiving the luminaire (). The luminaire arrangement also has a component () that is mountable in between the mounting frame () and the luminaire (). The component () has a first light exit window () framed by a rim (). The component () comprises a second light exit window () larger than the first light exit window (), the second light exit window () being delimited by a side wall arrangement () extending away from the second light exit window (), wherein the component () is dimensioned such that when the component () is positioned on the luminaire (), the component () obscures the rim () and the sidewall arrangement () creates a clearance () between the first light exit window () and the second light exit window ().
