Abstract

An activation mechanism for a medicament delivery device is provided having a housing elongated along a generally longitudinal axis, a spring-biased drive member, a locking unit, movable from a locked position, preventing longitudinal movement of said drive member, to an unlocked position, a first activation member movable relative to the housing; a second activation member movable relative to the housing, and wherein the locking unit comprises a key member, movable relative to the locking unit, wherein the first activation member and the second activation member are configured to move the locking unit from the locked position to the unlocked position, wherein upon actuation, the first activation member and the second activation member cooperate in interacting with the key member to move the key member to the cooperating position and to move the locking unit from the locked position to the unlocked position.
