Abstract

Check valve assembly (') for a shock absorber () comprising a housing (). The housing () comprises a first volume (), wherein a pressure Pprevails; a second volume (), wherein a pressure Pprevails; a first housing portion (VE), and a second housing portion (VE). The housing () further comprises a fluid passage () between said first () volume and said second () volume; and a spool (), said spool () being movably arranged in said housing () between at least a first position in which a flow of fluid through said fluid passage () between the first () and second () volume is allowed and at least a second position in which a flow of fluid through said fluid passage () between the first () and second (12) volume is prevented. The spool () comprises a first portion (S) adapted to engage with said first portion (VE) of said valve housingforming a first region of engagement (RE), and a second portion (S) adapted to engage with said second portion (VE) of said valve housing (), forming a second region of engagement (RE). Further, the first region of engagement (RE) is arranged at a first location and said second region (RE) is arranged at a second location. Also, a shock absorber () comprising a working cylinder (C) adapted to receive a working fluid, a piston dividing said cylinder (C) into a first (WC) and a second (WC) working chamber and a check valve assembly (′) according to above. Further, a front fork comprising such a check valve assembly (′).
