Abstract
This medical device () comprises a pre-filled syringe () comprising a syringe body () and a piston () mounted sliding in the syringe body (), the syringe body () and the piston () delimiting an internal chamber () containing a fluid to be administered; and a package () in which the pre-filled syringe () is arranged, the package () comprising first and second package portions () mounted movable relative to each other between a storage configuration in which the first and second package portions () prevent the pre-filled syringe () from being removed from the package (), and an open configuration in which the first and second package portions () allow the pre-filled syringe () to be removed from the package (), a movement of the first and second package portions () from the storage configuration to the open configuration causing the piston () to move from a first piston position to a second piston position.
