Abstract
The present invention concerns a method for treating the production water originating from enhanced hydrocarbon recovery, and containing one or more water-soluble polymers and Feions, consisting of at least partially oxidizing the Feions by introducing at least one reaction activator and oxygen into said production water, the molar ratio of introduced oxygen to Feions being less than or equal to 0.25.
