Abstract

The invention relates to a bumper () for a motor vehicle, with a crossmember element () which has preferably two homogeneous outer sections () and a central section () differing from the outer sections (), wherein the central section () is displaced vertically downwards or upwards with respect to the two outer sections (). According to the invention, provision is made that the crossmember element () is constructed as an extrusion and in that at least one of the sections (to) has at least one additional element () arranged monolithically with the crossmember element ().
