Abstract

Systems and methods for multitasking using touch-sensitive devices, including: displaying, by a display generation component, a first user interface of a first application; receiving a first input corresponding a request for displaying a second application with the first application in a concurrent-display configuration; displaying a second user interface of the second application and the first user interface of the first application in accordance with the concurrent-display configuration; receiving a second input; in accordance with a determination that the second input meets first criteria, replacing display of the second application with display of a third application to display the third application and the first application in accordance with the respective concurrent-display configuration; and in accordance with a determination that the second input meets second criteria that are distinct from the first criteria: maintaining display of the first application; and ceasing display of the second application without displaying the third application.
