Abstract

Provided is a server device that makes it possible to suitably distribute both video data and replay data. A center server distributes at least part of server data to a user terminal connected via a network. When the user terminal functions as a game terminal, the server center acquires replay data for reproducing past play from the user terminal so that the replay data functions as the server data and, when the server data includes video data and the user terminal functions as a video display terminal, updates the video data so that game video corresponding to the past play is displayed. The center server determines data to be distributed in accordance with the type of user terminal so that replay data is distributed to the user terminal when functioning as a game terminal and video data is distributed to the user terminal when functioning as a video display terminal.
