Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method of controlling a network comprising a transmission/reception point (TRP)and a user equipment (UE)is provided. Channel measurements related to a first antenna portA and a second antenna portB are performed by the UE. A quasi co-location (QCL) of the first antenna portA and the second antenna portB is determined, based at least in part on the channel measurements. A network configuration is adjusted, based at least in part on the determined QCL.
