Abstract
A method of detecting a touch point and a touch controller is disclosed. The method includes: a touch detection mode is determined according to a first result at an initial time of a detection period (S), the first result being a touch detection result corresponding to an adjacent detection period prior to the detection period; and a touch point on a touch screen is detected in the touch detection mode (S), where the touch detection mode includes a single-finger touch detection mode and a multi-finger touch detection mode. A method of detecting a touch point could achieve a balance between power consumption and response speed, and accordingly, improve user experience.
