Abstract

The imaging lens consists of, in order from an object side: a first lens group that has a positive refractive power; an aperture stop; a second lens group that has a positive refractive power; and a third lens group. The second lens group consists of two or less lenses, and moves to the object side during focusing from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance. The third lens group includes, successively in order from at a position closest to an image side, a rear lens group that has a positive refractive power and a vibration reduction lens group that has a negative refractive power. Then, Conditional Expression (1) is satisfied.−1.5<33<−0.85  (1)
