The neurocognitive training system includes a user input device configured to output an input signal based upon an input response by the user; a visual display device having an output screen, the visual display device configured to display one or more visual objects on the output screen; and a data processing device, the data processing device operatively coupled to the user input device and the visual display device. The data processing device being programmed to generate and display one or more visual objects on the output screen; receive an input signal from the user input device based upon an input response by the user; and determine, based upon the input signal received from the user input device, whether the user performed a correct action with respect to the one or more visual objects displayed on the output screen.
