Abstract
A subtalar plate implant () for correcting and/or altering the alignment of a hyperpronated foot () comprises a plate portion () and an insert portion () that is connected to the plate portion (). The plate portion () is selectively attachable to a lateral aspect of the calcaneus (). The insert portion () is positionable within the subtalar joint (). The insert portion () includes a top surface () that is selectively positionable substantially adjacent to a base of the talus (), the top surface () being angled to allow the talus () to articulate over the top surface (). The insert portion () further includes a bottom surface () that is selectively positionable substantially adjacent to a dorsal surface of the calcaneus (). The insert portion () can include a groove () that is formed along the bottom surface () substantially parallel to the plate portion ().
