Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a technology for a sensor network, machine to machine (M2M) communication, machine type communication (MTC), and the Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be utilized for an intelligent service (smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety-related service, etc.) on the basis of the technology. The present disclosure relates to a method for supporting interworking between heterogeneous systems, the method comprising the steps of: transmitting, to a first device, a message requesting a subscription to a resource; receiving, from the first device, a notification message indicating that the resource of the first device has been changed; transmitting, to a second device, a request message for monitoring a resource of the second device; and receiving a response message indicating the resource of the second device in response to the transmission of the request message, wherein the resource of the first device is associated with the second device.
