Abstract
The disclosure relates to a communication technique which fuses a 5G communication system with IoT technology to support higher data transmission rates after a 4G system, and system thereof. The disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart connected car, health care, digital education, retail, security, and safety related services, and the like) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT related technology. A transmission method is provided, the method including: identifying at least one bit for polar coding, identifying a first sequence having a length of 2N that corresponds to a length of the at least one information bit, encoding the information bit through the polar coding, and transmitting the encoded information.
