Abstract

A mounting systemfor a solar panelincludes a base platehaving a mounting channeldefined by an elongated base member, two oppositely disposed elongated channel wallshaving clamping tangs, and a support wall. The mounting system also includes an I-beamhaving a lower member, an upper memberand a spanning member. A C-shaped bracketis slidably coupled to the upper member and has a mounting post with a staggered clamphaving a contact ledge. A nutis threadably coupled to the mounting postto force the contact ledge downwardly against the peripheral margin of the solar panel, thus locking the position of the solar panel. The mounting system includes a weld harness or weld harness stripand anti-creep stripswhich are coupled to the base member.
