Abstract
The invention describes a method of manufacturing an OLED device () comprising an OLED () and an integrated negative overvoltage protection diode (), which method comprises at least the steps of: depositing a first OLED electrode () and a separate second OLED electrode contact (C) on a carrier (), which second OLED electrode contact (C) incorporates a first overvoltage protection diode electrode (); depositing an organic material layer stack () to define an active region (OLED) of the OLED () and an active region (OPD) of the overvoltage protection diode (); depositing a second OLED electrode () to extend over the active region (OLED) of the OLED () and the second OLED electrode contact (C); and depositing a second overvoltage protection diode electrode () to extend over the active region (OPD) of the overvoltage protection diode () and the first OLED electrode ().
