Abstract
There is provided an electrical socket apparatuscomprising a slotfor receiving a pinof a corresponding electrical plug. The apparatuscomprises a light sensorarranged relative to the slotand configured to receive light emitted by a light sourceof a said electrical plug. The slotis movable to a position in which the slotis aligned with the pinof a said electrical plugon the basis of light emitted by a light sourceof a said electrical plugand received by the light sensor
