Abstract

We generally describe an optical transceiver connector () comprising: a first portion () comprising a first port () configured to releasably receive an optical connector (); and a second portion () comprising a second port () configured to releasably receive an optical converter element (), wherein an opening of the first port () faces towards a first direction opposite to a second direction towards which an opening of the second port () faces, and wherein the first port () is aligned with the second port () for establishing a releasable, light-coupling-capable connection between a said optical connector () to be received by the first port () and a said optical converter element () to be received by the second port ().
