Abstract

The use of an amine compound and/or of a salt of the amine compound to inert clay minerals with respect to dispersants in a mineral binder composition containing clay minerals and/or to improve or increase the effect of a dispersant in a mineral binder composition containing clay minerals, wherein the amine compound has a structure according to formula I:HN—(CHR)—[NR—(CHR)]—[NR—(CHR)]—NH  (I)and wherein: each s and t, independently of each other, has a value of 0-2; each e, f, and g, independently of each other, has a value of 2-10; each R, R, R, R, and R, independently of each other, represents hydrogen or —CH.
