Abstract
An information handling system adapts a capacitive sensor from a primary function of an operational state to a secondary function of managing a power on command from a power off state to transition the information handling system to an operational state. For example, a touchscreen display or specific absorption rate sensor transitions to a low power state, such as with a reduced scan rate, when the information handling system is in a power off state and commands transition to a power on state in response to a touch that lasts a predetermined amount of time.
