Abstract

An apparatus () for downhole data acquisition and/or monitoring is configured to be disposed within a completion () and comprises a hanger () configured to latch into a control line spool (), a retrofit valve () for location within the subsurface safety valve () of the completion (), and a sensing arrangement () including an optical fiber line (). In use, the apparatus () is configured to be run into the completion () and is operable to provide data acquisition and/or monitoring capability in the well, including up or near total depth and in particular but not exclusively in the region of the well subjected to an intervention operation, such as a chemical injection operation.
