Abstract
According to one embodiment, a communication apparatus includes a transmitting section, a receiving section, a confirming section, and a communication section. The transmitting section performs broadcast transmission of a command in a plurality of different channels. The receiving section receives various kinds of information necessary for establishment of wireless connection, the various kinds of information being transmitted by a peripheral apparatus that receives the command. The confirming section confirms, based on the reception of the various kinds of information by the receiving section, in which of the channels the communication apparatus is capable of communicating with the peripheral apparatus. The communication section establishes the wireless connection to the peripheral apparatus using the channel confirmed by the confirming section.
