Abstract
A method and device of encoding both a HDR picture (I) and a first SDR picture (I) obtained from said HDR picture, in at least one bitstream (F, F, F, F). The method comprises: —obtaining () a second SDR picture (I) by tone-mapping the HDR picture (I); —obtaining () a color mapping function (CMF) that allows the mapping of the colors of the second SDR picture (I) onto the colors of a third SDR picture (I) obtained () from the first SDR picture (I); —encoding (), in a bitstream, an information (INF) representative of the color mapping function; and —encoding (), in a bitstream, a fourth SDR picture (I) obtained () from the first SDR picture (I). The present disclosure further relates to a method and device of decoding.
