Abstract
A visualization module (), in particular for an endoscope (), having an image sensor () and an illumination unit () for lighting a field of view of the image sensor (), wherein the illumination unit () is arranged in the shadow of the image sensor () in the case of light that is incident perpendicularly on an end face () of the visualization module (), and the image sensor () and the illumination unit () are encapsulated at least partially in a transparent encapsulation material (). A method for producing a visualization module () is also provided.
