Abstract

A composition for forming a porous insulating layer according to the present disclosure includes a solvent including an organic solvent, and an insulating inorganic particle. According to the present disclosure, a porous insulating layer prepared using the composition is positioned on an active material layer being on a main surface of a current collector, wherein the active material layer includes at least an active material capable of electrochemically intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions and an active material layer binder. A distance between Hansen solubility parameters of the active material layer binder and the organic solvent is greater than or equal to about 8.0 (MPa).
