Abstract
A light emitting device is provided which contains an anode, a cathode, and two organic layers disposed between the anode and the cathode. The first organic layer contains a phosphorescent material and the second organic layer contains a crosslinked body of a crosslinkable material and a phosphorescent material. The two phosphorescent materials contain the same phosphorescent compound represented by formula (1), and the crosslinkable material is a compound represented by formula (3): In formula (1), M represents a metal atom, nis ≥1, nis ≥0, Eand Erepresent a carbon atom, Land Lrepresent an aromatic heterocyclic ring, and A-G-Arepresents an anionic bidentate ligand. In formula (3), mto mrepresent an integer of ≥0, Armay represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group, Lmay represent a divalent group, and X″ may represent a crosslinkable group.
