Abstract

An image processing apparatus for processing a moving image obtained by irradiating an object with radiation, includes: an obtaining unit configured to obtain an amount of change between frames in the moving image; an estimating unit configured to estimate, based on the amount of change, a scattered ray component of the radiation scattered by the object in a frame of the moving image; and a scattered ray reducing unit configured to generate an image by subtracting the scattered ray component from the frame of the moving image.
