Abstract

A rotary position sensor assembly () for detecting the angular position of the rotor () of a motor. The assembly () includes at least one sensor () and a sensor target () which is moveable relative to the sensor (). The sensor target () comprises a tubular body () with a plurality of integrally-formed radially-extending sections (). These sections () include two radial upper edge portions () which are supported by a radially-extending support which is set back from the edge portions (). Each of the two upper edge portions () provide a target for the sensor. A sensor target () for use in a position sensor assembly (), a method of production of the sensor target (), and an electromechanical actuator which utilises the rotary position sensor assembly () are also provided.
