This positive electrode active material includes positive electrode active material particles A represented by Formula (A): LiNiCoMO(where 0<α≤1.15, 0.90<x≤0.98, 0<y≤0.10, and 0<(1-x-y)), and positive electrode active material particles B represented by Formula (B): LiNiCoMO(where 0<β≤1.15, 0.70≤a≤0.90, 0<b≤0.20, and 0<(1-a-b)). Mand Meach independently represent one element or two or more elements selected from the group consisting of Li, B, Mg, Al, Fe, and Mn.
