Abstract
The invention relates to a brake assembly (), comprising: A clamping portion () for exerting a clamping force on the inner brake pad assembly () may protrude out of the brake cylinder () and extend fully or at least partially laterally outward from the brake piston (). Alternatively, a maximum lateral extension of the brake piston () may be equal to or larger than a maximum lateral extension of the pair of outer clamping surfaces (), wherein the inner clamping portion () extends fully or at least partially laterally inward from the brake piston ().
