Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to performing a handover on a user equipment [] from a serving base station [] to a target base station. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: receiving a handover report from the user equipment []; identifying at least one access point [A,B]; transmitting a request message to at least one of the at least one access point [A,B] and a network entity; receiving the response messages from at least one of the at least one access point [A,B] and the network entity; and processing at least one of the first response message and the second response message for performing the handover from the serving base station [] to one of the neighbouring target base stations [A,B].
