Abstract

A pupil expansion apparatus includes: a beam splitter, configured to receive light from an optic and to replicate a pupil formed by the optic; and a waveguide, optically coupled to the beam splitter, the waveguide configured to receive light from the beam splitter and further expand the pupil.
