Abstract
A draft shield (″) is provided for a laboratory balance () with a base body (), a weighing chamber () with a weighing chamber floor () and a weighing chamber rear wall (). The draft shield has a top wall (), first and second side walls () and a front wall (). The draft shield, the weighing chamber floor and the weighing chamber rear wall enclose the weighing chamber. A drive unit () connected to the top wall serves to open and close the top wall (). The weighing chamber rear wall has a base module () and a top module (″), at least a portion of which is configured as a compartment. The drive unit is arranged in the compartment-shaped portion.
