Abstract
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel urethane decomposing method by which urethane in the environment is treated efficiently and at a low cost, and a urethane decomposing agent. The above purpose is attained by employing a urethane decomposing method including: a step of treating a urethane-containing material to be treated using an unsaturated fatty acid; and a step of making a microorganism belonging to agenus and exhibiting urethane decomposing function, to act on the material treated using the unsaturated fatty acid.
