A subject of the present disclosure is a cosmetic agent to lighten keratinous fibers containing—relative to its total weight— A second subject of the present disclosure is a method for lightening keratinous fibers, particularly red and/or reddish-blond keratinous fibers, wherein an agent of the first subject of the present disclosure is mixed with at least one additional component containing hydrogen peroxide and applied to the hair.
