Abstract

A topical skincare composition including aextract including one or more triterpenes, wherein at least one of the one or more triterpenes is madecassic acid, an(oat) extract, a ceramide and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. A method of treating symptoms of itch, redness, flaking, dryness, and/or roughness of the skin, scalp, and/or mucous membrane including the step of applying the topical skincare composition to at least a portion of a user's skin, scalp, and/or mucous membrane in need thereof.
