Abstract

An energy metering device () measures the energy consumption of a group of energy consuming devices (), compares the measured energy consumption with an energy consumption threshold representing a level below which renewable sources are used for the generation of energy and indicates (I) to energy consuming devices () of the group if the measured energy consumption is on one of the two sides of the energy consumption threshold. An energy consuming device () receives an indication (I), investigates if the energy consumption has crossed the energy consumption threshold using received indications and adjusts an own current energy consumption if it has.
