Abstract
A five-piece optical lens system with a wide field of view includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a first lens element with a negative refractive power, a stop, a second lens element with a positive refractive power, a third lens element with a negative refractive power, a fourth lens element with a positive refractive power, a fifth lens element with a negative refractive power, a radius of curvature of an object-side surface of the second lens element is R3, a radius of curvature of an image-side surface of the second lens element is R4, focal lengths of the system, first, second and fourth lens elements are f, f1, f2, f4, respectively, satisfying the relations: 1.9 mm<f+(R3+R4)/(R3−R4)<2.9 mm, −2.0 mm<f1/(f2*f4)<−1.2 mm. Such arrangements can provide a five-piece optical lens system which has a wide field of view, high resolution, short length and less distortion.
