Abstract
Provided is an ink composition used for image formation by an ink jet method. The ink composition includes plate-like metal particles and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 150° C. or higher and a solubility parameter of 24 MPaor more. The maximum absorption wavelength of the ink composition in the wavelength range of 300 nm to 2,500 nm is located in the wavelength range of 800 nm to 2,500 nm. Also provided is an image forming method.
