Abstract

A method for protecting skin is provided. The method comprises administering to a subject in need a composition, wherein the composition comprises an effective amount of acallus extract, and the extract is a polar solvent extract of calluses ofleaves. The method is especially for nursing skin, repairing skin, improving skin condition, delaying skin aging, assisting in maintaining content of collagen in skin, against photodamage, preventing skin lesions, and/or promoting wound healing.
