Abstract
A sailboat steering system () comprising a steerable saildrive (), a control lever () for controlling a propeller speed of the steerable saildrive (), a rudder angle sensor () to measure the ruder angle (α) of a rudder (), and an electronic control unit (). The electronic control unit () is enabled to control a steering angle (β) of the steerable saildrive (), depending on the position of the control lever () and depending on a rudder angle (α) of the rudder (). The invention also relates to a method of steering a sailboat.
