Abstract

An articleis provided with an adhesive layerthat includes an adhesive, a release layerthat is stacked on the adhesive layer, and an air layerthat is interposed between the adhesive layerand the release layer. On a surfaceof the release layerthat opposes the adhesive layer, microprotrusionsthat contact the adhesive layerwith tipsare provided. The microprotrusionsare provided with a wall-shaped portionhaving a shape that at least partially surrounds the air layerbetween the adhesive layerand the release layer. The wall-shaped portionprotects a main portionof the adhesive layerthat is adjacent to the air layerfrom contamination. By selecting a shape, dimensions, and the like of the micro protrusions, a release force of the release layercan be adjusted to a desired range.
