Abstract

The invention relates to a shell () intended to be placed around a fragment-generating body () of an ammunition (). This shell is characterized in that it comprises an inner wall () having a geometry such that it can be positioned with shape matching with that of the body () on which it is intended to be fastened, the inner wall () bearing cells () having a profile with a closed contour secured to the wall () by a first end, the cells () not being adjoining, therefore separate from one another, all the way around their contour by a non-nil distance (d).
