Abstract
Compounds having the formula (F-I) below are provided herein: wherein: Ris a C-Calkyl group; Ris (i) a C-Clinear alkyl group or (ii) a C-Cbranched alkyl having the formula (F-II) below: wherein Rand Rat each occurrence are each independently a hydrogen or a C-Clinear alkyl group and n is a positive integer, provided however, among all of Rand R, at least one is a C-Clinear alkyl group; and Ris a hydrogen or a C-Clinear alkyl group; Ris hydrogen or a C-Calkyl group; and Ris a C-Calkyl group or an aromatic group. Processes for preparing compounds of formula (F-I) as well as base stock and lubricant compositions containing compounds of formula (F-I) are also provided.
