Abstract
A input system (), controlling an electromedical device (), includes a network (), an input unit () and a control unit (). The input unit has a touch display () and detects an input area () and outputs an input signal () to the network via an input interface (), if a comparison between the input area and a displayed control menu () makes possible an assignment, between the input area and the control command, if the input area is located within a command area () on the touch display, and if the control command is contained in a group of currently executable control commands. The control unit receives the input signal and outputs a control signal (), based on the input signal, to the electromedical device for actuating the corresponding application and sends a confirmation signal () to the input unit after the output of the control signal.
