Disclosed is an endless metal belt () which has a length/circumference (l) and a width (b) and which is produced by welding a number of individual metal belt parts (). A rolling direction () of the individual metal belt parts () and the weld seams () extend transversely to the length/circumference (l) of the metal belt (). Also disclosed is a method for producing an endless metal belt () of said type.
