The present invention relates to the use, as a fluorescent chromophore, of a compound with formula (I) wherein: Ais —N— or —C(Y)—; Ais —N— or —C(Y)—; Ais —N— or —C(Y)—; Ais —N— or —C(Y)—; at least one of A, A, Aand Arepresenting —N—; Xis —N— or —C(Y)—; Xis —N— or —C(Y)—; Xis —N— or —C(Y)—; and Y, Y, Y, Y, Y, Yand Yare in particular chosen independently of one another from the group made up of: H, electron-donor groups and electron-attracting groups.
