Abstract

A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery () includes a porous film () (heat resistance layer (HRL)) in, which particles (filler F) of an insulating ceramic are attached through a binder onto a surface of at least one of a negative electrode active material layer () and a separator (). In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the insulating ceramic of the porous film () contains at least one of Fe and Ni.
